Best Seats in the House

My cousins so kindly invited us to join them to watch last weekend's Husker game in a skybox...on the 50 yard line!  It was awesome!  We had the AC on and the windows open, so we were able to feel like we were part of the crowd, but stay nice and cool.  They had food and drinks for us and there was even a TV in the bathroom, so you didn't have to miss a minute of the game.  :)  We had a great time watching the game and hanging out with the fam. 

Also, we determined that this has to be the most expensive "date" that we've ever enjoyed - although we didn't have to pay a penny of it.  So, THANKS Bensons and Martins!  :)

Summer Is Here!

To celebrate the first day of Brian's summer vacation, we hit up Bridesmaid's at the movie theater, the used book store, Yia Yia's (for some beer) and Mary's Place for tacos with Jodi and Kimberly.

Then, Brian headed off to poker with his friends and I went to visit the VanBoenings and check out their new house.

It was an all-around wonderful first day of summer. :)

And now, I am headed to work and jealous that Brian gets to keep sleeping. :(

Early Birthday Celebration

Brian took me out for an early birthday dinner last night. We went to Macaroni Grill for my favorite Chicken Scallopine. As it turns out, Thursday night is their night for half priced bottles of wine. We managed to drink all of ours and it was yummy! Then, we headed downtown to red mango for dessert.

When we got home, Brian kindly sat and watched a couple episodes of Friends with me.

It was a lovely pre-birthday birthday celebration!

We decided to finally get with the times and try out redbox. We watched Waiting For Superman and Inception and enjoyed them both. The $2 price tag and the fact that we only had to drive 2 minutes to get them, weren't too shabby either.

A Step Back In Time

To celebrate Valentine's day we made each other cards, ate some yummy homemade pizza and drank James Arthur's Edelweiss by candlelight and then snuggled on the couch to watch Ground Hog Day. Also, Brian bought me these pretty yellow spider mums and we had Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts. I don't think I could've asked for a better evening.

We went on a date last Friday night. I wanted to have a photo to commemorate the night. This was the best one we got. Despite the fact, that it is missing half of my face, I like it! :)
