For the past year (or so), we have been making our own yogurt. We make half a gallon at a time and usually make a batch per week. Sometime in the last 6 months, we also started making our own granola. Each batch of granola lasts us about 7-10 days.
We used to buy the little bear shaped containers of honey, small bags of almonds and dried cranberries and four packs of gelatin. We now buy all of these things in big containers.
I get a little kick out of making our own food and saving some moo-la.
Brian likes the fact that we get to use organic milk and other healthy
ingredients. Overall, our little homemade breakfast production makes us happy.
