I am part of a team (photo above) working to raise money for St. Monica's. St. Monica's is a residential and outpatient treatment facility in Lincoln. They address the root causes of substance abuse and behavioral health issues in women.
They are sponsoring an event called "The Amazing Chase" in a few weeks and we can't wait to participate! We will be running all over town, trying to figure out the clues that we are given and then completing the challenges that they give us. I am going to be the "belly" of our team and have been told that I will have to eat A LOT of something for one of the challenges. I'm anxious to see what it might be!
Our start time, for the race, is determined by how much money we raise. The more we raise, the better chance we have for kicking some booty! :) We have a pretty good start on our fundraising thanks to the garage sale that we held, the hot dog lunch that we did at Melanie's work (photo below), Allison cleaning people's houses for donations, a raffle for Husker volleyball tickets, and many many people just being generous. Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who have donated!
